SPC - March - #4

Last week for the 'online tools' challenge at SPC.

I just had too much fun using the face morphing tool HERE.

Here's the original:
Original

...and the morphs:

--AGE--
Baby
Baby - This one creeps me out. A little too 'Yellow Bastard' for my taste.

Old Man
Old Man - They grow up so fast, don't they? Wow! Apparently in my old age, I take up budget-line cosmetic surgery. I'm totally bummed. I'd always hoped I would grow old gracefully.

--ANCIENT ARTISTS WITH ASTIGMATISMS?--
Botticelli
Botticelli - I've always wanted that 'chiseled face' look!

El Greco
El Greco - Love the 5 O'Clock shadow on this one! Kind of reminds me Kramer's portrait from 'The Letter.'

Modigliani
Modigliani - I would totally hang this on my wall!

--ETHNICITY--
African-American
African-American - Don't know why it missed some of my skin on the right side there.

East Asian
East Asian - I was surprised at how natural this one looks.

--FUN--
Manga/Anime
Manga - This is probably my favorite of the bunch! I'm not a big fan of Anime, but I'm amazed at how the morph tool is able to convert an actual face into its visual style. Note: Do not stand between my friend Ryan Prinkey and the nearest online connection when he discovers this tool -- it would be the very definition of 'in harm's way.' ;-)

Drunk!
Drunk - Even though I've never had a drop of alcohol in my life, yet despite that, I still quit drinking back in January for SPC, this photo, once again renews a strong desire in me to NEVER EVER become drunk! They even mashed my hair on one side - and what on Earth is wrong with my lip!?!?

Apeman
Apeman - oooh ooh etqjgadiu aklj;efw;321 jjdafsklj;zjk fda jkl;eqwiod adlkjerayo893aKJL; JKADJKL 3.14159 26535 89793 23846 26433 83279 50288 41971 69399 37510... ooooh oooh

Photo Friday - 'Heat'

Updates

Harrison turned one-fourth yesterday. He's still doing really well. He's a happy boy most of the time and occasionally sleeps through the night, but even when he doesn't, he's just up long enough to eat and then goes right back to sleep.

Hannah is also doing great. She's still in preschool one day each week and does her 'homework' from the rest of the week pretty regularly. She is finishing up her first year of dance class and her performance is in May.

Here are a couple of recent pictures:

In other news -- Hannah can fly now:

That is all.

Quote of the Day

A fellow co-worker just said the following:

YouTube is just like eBay, except you can't purchase anything 'cause it's all free.

SPC - March - #3

The 'online tools' theme continues over at Self Portrait Challenge:

Created using the Scribbler tool (which, for those of you looking for SPC ideas for the remainder of March, is very cool and quite versatile -- give it a try!)

Colors inspired by Tim Burton's Joker from Batman.

SPC - March - #2

The 'online tools' theme continues over at Self Portrait Challenge.

I didn't begin this week's challenge aiming for a Matrix feel, but I ended up tumbling through the rabbit hole, nonetheless.

I began with this blurry image:

As I applied the Textorizer effect, I began to notice some similarities between it and some of the visual effects used in The Matrix:
Matrix Code

I realize that my final result doesn't closely resemble the example above, but it was what I had in mind when I made the background black and tried to turn some of the text green. By the way, the text that creates the image is difficult to see, but it says, "What is the Matrix????"

Plus, reflections and doorways are recurring themes in the film, so I just went with it:

Smiling

Harrison smiles plenty, but I'd been having a hard time capturing him doing it in a photograph.

Until now:

Everybody have a great weekend!

Photo Friday - 'Alone'

Here is a mosaic of a lonely tree I've been watching:

Lonely Tree Photo Mosaic

Kind of seasonal shots; although, I was never happy with my autumn shot.

I guess making a mosaic of a 'lonely tree' makes it not quite so 'alone,' huh?

Oh well, see others' interpretation on the theme HERE.

Ten Years!

Happy Anniversary of the day on which you were married to: US!

Seems like we should be doing something major for our first double-digit anniversary, but like geniuses, we decided that we'd do pretty much the same thing for ten years as we did for five: HAVE A BABY!

[Note to self: think of something different for 15 or 20. ]

Anyway...the traditional gift for ten years (homonymically enough) is tin, so maybe I'll do something in that direction.

Here's a recent favorite picture of my beautiful wife, Christy. Happy Anniversary!
